Letter from the Chapter
From President Bre Battaglia,
Hi everyone, my name is Bre Battaglia and I am honored to introduce myself to you all as the Chapter President of Sigma Kappa, Kappa Xi. I am so excited to give you a glimpse into our mystic bond and even more excited to meet you this coming fall! From the moment I stepped onto campus at the University of Nevada, Reno I knew I wanted to be a sorority woman, but looking back on these past 3 years I could’ve never imagined the countless opportunities, lifelong friendships, and overwhelming amount of support it has given me along the way. Sigma Kappa is dedicated to providing women a place where they can develop socially, spiritually, and intellectually by bringing us all together in order to empower not only each other, but the community as a whole.
The Kappa Xi chapter is home to a diversified group of women, each with different goals and aspirations, but continue to strive towards the common goal of living out our core values- Friendship, Loyalty, Service, and Personal Growth. We believe that our differences make our sisterhood even stronger and are blessed with the opportunity to constantly learn and grow alongside one another. Here in Kappa Xi we pride ourselves on the genuine love we share with each other and the incredible friendships that last, not just four years, but a lifetime. Being a Sigma Kappa is something that I don’t think I can ever perfectly put into words because the memories that I’ve made within this organization, as corny as it sounds, are truly indescribable. These women have become my sisters, my role models, my future bridesmaids, my shoulders to cry on, and my best friends for the rest of my life, and it’s all thanks to Sigma Kappa and Reno College Panhellenic. On behalf of our chapter and myself, we look forward to meeting each of you in the fall and welcoming you into Greek life!
Here is what you need to know if you would like to join Sigma Kappa or any Reno Panhellenic organization.
